Default LED Reverse Light Project

Here is what my LED reverse light currently is:

It was done with an LED strip with a sticky back side stuck to my bumper. Well over time the sticky side has lost its stickiness and it is basically dangling back there now. It does not look good.

Here is my idea for a cleaner and 'stealthy' reverse light. It will not be as bright but much cleaner. My main concern is warning other drivers that 'Hey, I'm in reverse and backing out'

This is the third brake light that goes in my brickyard spoiler. I cracked it open (literally) and put part of the LED strip inside. It does not sit behind the 'diffuser' part of the lens, but it works pretty good none the less.

Brake light only:

Reverse light only:

Both:

I still need to seal the lens back up, so Monday I will run to the hardware store and buy some silicon or similar. Then I'll get some pics of it installed

looks good! next time when it starts to peel at all (if it does) use some of the thin 3m double sided foam tape, it'll stop it from peeling. I have the same trouble with some of my interior LEDs and it works great

I've actually done that before too. I've used zip ties to keep them up too the sticky side on those LEDs just isn't the best.
