LED Door Handle Lights
I'm not sure how the 6th gen door handles are attached, but I imagine it would be the same procedure. Let me know if I can help you if you decided to try this yourself
Justin:
Thats a very cool Mod forsure....Are you a bit concerned about any weather getting in thru the hole for the led wire?..Did you seal it off with a Gromet? or RTV silicone?
Is your Monte Painted Gold?

Thanks for the comments guys!
No concern for weather getting into the door. First off, the LED wire is very small guague, something like 22-24 gauge wire so the hole is very very small. I made the hole a tight fit for the wire.
Did you know there is currently a hole in the door for the handle now? If you get under neath your handle and look up inside while opening it, you'll see how the handle is attached to the inner door. There's a small gap there already, and my hole is even smaller that that. No reason to worry about water getting into the door
Another good thing is that the handle protects water from getting into the door and around the LEDS too. It's kind of like a roof. I should mention also that I used waterproof LEDs that come on the strip for extra weather protection.
Technically, my paint code calls for Pewter Metallic, but we can call it gold
