Default LED Door Handle Lights

Sneak peak at another LED project I got going! I think this has been talked about before, but not sure if anyone has done it around here.

This is just mocked up. It's not actually hooked up to any car circuit which it will later (waiting on a relay and wires from the internet). I'll take more pics as I go along. I just wanted to get it mocked up and see if I could do it. Looks like it's going to be pretty simple. Should be pretty sweet when done!

That's both cool and safe. My SUV had that built in.

What 12v will you use to trigger it? I'd use something like the interior lights that come on when the remote unlock is sent.

The dome light circuit is my plan. I need to wire up the domelight supervision stuff with my Viper so I'm going to be doing this all at the same time, since I'll be splicing into my dome light circuit anyway.

Nice idea! When you trigger the keyless entry in the dark, you and your passenger can see the door handles and not fumble around.

Just don't have them activated while driving.

I like the idea, but I suck at doing any re-wiring or anything like that to my car....

Exactly. I plan on having them wired into the dome light circuit so unless I plan on driving around with the dome light on they will always be off while moving.

Wrapped up this project tonight. Gotta say I'm pretty impressed. Definitely gives it a 'high class' feel.

I'll get a video tomorrow, when I have my camera.
