Hey all just giving everybody an update

So i been price shoping a new door for my Mc. The local auto salvage yard wants 250-300 dollars. Well it just so happend the my best friends' Wife blew the motor in a 95 Mc and they junked it in a town 15minutes away.

So i called the recycling yard and i asked how much they would sell a door for, they replied 40 dollars. Needless to say 2 hours later in freezing cold winter, and not alot of tools. The door is in my garage. ( Picture comming soon)

Im just a few parts from having all the pieces i need, that list would include

Two smooth door trim pieces - RkSport
Door popper kit - Scissorsdoors.com or steetbeatcustoms.com
Tail lights - unsure
Hood Scoop - unsure

 

Hi `Jonny & thanks 4 the update...Yes, it does pay to search everywhere to find a good price. It's great that you had the connection to learn about your friends loss of their Monte.

Nice I'm exited to see it and maybe park next to it in a few shows!

 

I know of a couple 6th gen Monte door for sale for $175. But they don't have the inside panels or window switches.

I frogot to mention, the door had everything. Window and all but the interior panel that was shot. The local auto salavge would have charged more for the mirror and the window.

The only major problem with the door.



The molding is coming off and the trim on the bottom will be replaced with a smooth one.
