I want to do mine. (shouldnt have to hard of a time since i actually paint)
but what paints would i need
etc.

I just used PlastiKote high build primer, red engine enamel and engine enamel clear coat. Lots of coats of each - it'll come up smooth eventually. For the stripes just use 1/4" inch pinstripping before the clear coat

Well I've decided to paint my engine cover when it gets warm out. The engine cover will be painted a nice glossy black. The silver color letters "5.3 L V-8 Displacement on Demand" will be changed to red.
