[quote=RickAKATed10;263906]Thanks. I hope so too! I have a feeling they won't project very well at all though. I might (face palm) be going with HID's if that's the case... Keep your mouth shut! lol

Why do you think that they won't project very well? The "reflector" is still shiny. I really think that any light difference will be negligible.

Since the "tubes" are black I think that will hurt output a little, don't think the effect will be as big as the 2000-2005 because of the amount of lost reflection area but that's just my thoughts. Think if you go with a brighter bulb (Silverstar Ultras) at the same time as replacing the housings may lessen the impact... Though I seem to recall Mr. Burns has some brighter bulbs anyhow. The very small amount of night driving I do I don't think I would notice

I still want to see someone take apart a 2006-07 light and paint it match a red car. For some reason, I think red would look awesome.

What he said. The original housing is all chromed. This allows the light to bounce around more and then project at the end of the headlight. You're taking away a lot of that chromed area and making it black. Black absorbs light. I do have Osram Nightbreaker bulbs which are much better than stock. So I think I'll be OK.

Thank you. I bet they'd look good on any color car, but not as good as they do on a black one.

if you find that you are missing some light output, i would second or 42nd the recommendation from everyone that has got a set of DDM tuning HID's ... got mine installed and damn it is bright

i do like the headlights and am so very intrigued by these rather than those fake projector ones that were partially black, i might have to copy you as well rick :p

edit - do they come with any of the bulbs or wiring or are you supposed to just transplant everything from the orphaned housing ??? and it looks like the turn inside turn signal bulb housing isnt amber at all, i dont remember off the top of my head if its a clear bulb thats orange from the housing or an amber bulb ...

p.s i found em on ebay for 140 ... but 40 dollar shipping seems really excessive
