Default HELP Hit a Deer

I have a problem. I hit a deer at 40 and need right fender, hood, bumper cover, and headlights. Should I use parts from a salvage yard, lkq, aftermarkets? I'm not super picky about fitment and line perfection. My car is 13 years old after all but I plan on driving her till she drops or giving it to my sister later on. They estimated my parts at $2,000. I'm considering a/m bumper cover, already ordered a/m headlights but am afraid of a/m hood and fender because of fitment and gaps. I want to do it as inexpensively as I can but I don't want it to look slapped together. I appreciate your opinions, suggestions and advice. My car is not a show car, never will be, but I am a Monte lover and I want to do her justice. The Insurance company IS paying for the damage but I'm hoping I can save enough by locating my own parts to work something out with the shop to also fix some minor paint issues where rocks have chipped it. Thanks everybody

OUCH!!!!

The Monte looks like it's in pain...I hope you're doing better in comparison. A salvage yard fender and hood if found local will probably be less expensive and have a better fit. A lot of aftermarket panels need to be massaged in order to get them to fit properly. Plus you have the shipping expense on top of the cost of the part.

You could also check craigslist or other classified ads in your area to see of anyone is parting one out.

This is where I got all my replacement parts:

Certifit Online

I just looked though and they don't list any sheetmetal on the webpage. I got mine through them from a local dealer called Interstate Auto Parts in UT.
I purchased fenders, hood, bumper covers, some plastic bracing and splash guards from them.
They are "Certifit" which means they will fit like an OEM part, some of the imported replacements are a far cry from stock, these are well made.

Well I looked again and found this... Your tag says you're in Orlando so they list this one
Certifit Auto Body Parts
11441 N US HWY 301 Suite 101
Thonotosassa,FL 33592
(813) 986-0800

And the catalog is here: http://www.certifit.com/images/catalogs/TFL.pdf

UNFORTUNATELY, right now (where I hit the deer) I'm in a little tiny town in WV. I came up here cuz my Mom has Cancer and is disabled. My neighbor in FL is a body man and he is EXCELLENT but I can't get a hold of him and I can't drive it back to FL like that without major hassle from Troopers. Also I have to be here for a few months.

I've had no luck with local salvage yards locating fenders and hood. Craigslist doesn't even have listings near this place. I have looked on ebay and found a couple CAPA parts but I've read some other places online by supposed Body men that it ought to be CRAPA so I really don't know what to do. The body shop that is going to fix it can probably make the ebay parts work but I don't want them to hate me for giving them crap to work with either. I sent my son to the UPAP in Orlando (it's a salvage yard) because they had two Monte's on their lot but both were total front end damage and that seems to be the problem up here with the salvage yards too. Front end damage is the most common so they're the hardest parts to locate. Just my luck. I guess the driver side is also the most common......lucky me again!

I'll let you all know what I did when I finally make my decision and will post pics when she's done. Thank you everybody for your input, it helps
