Hey guys, so I've been recently thinking about tinting my lights (head & tail lights, and reverse lights) with the VHT nightshade but now I just thought of these headlights from eBay...

but, idk. Spending $15 for a can isnt nearly as bad as spending 2 bills on a set of "JDM (LOL) black headlights". Just wondering if anyone has them installed, and what option would go best with my car color. It wouldnt be a complete black out on my car. More like a light tint smoke look to it. Like 2 coats.

 

I have those headlights. I love the look of them, but I hate how they project light.

VHT Nightshading is ugly. If you are gonna tint it, get it done right. I've sent stuff to flip (flipscustomtails.com) and he did a fantastic job on my reverse lights.

Also, I wouldn't tint your headlights, it's illegal and if you get stopped, you'd have to buy a whole new set of headlights anyway. Perhaps you could find a smoked set of headlight covers, that you can have on during the day / at shows, but take off at night?

Personally you want to do the headlights, tails, and reverse lights. haha so did I, but I went with those headlights, the LED tails, and flip tinted my reverse.

 

What is "flip tint"? ..lol ok so i had an extra headlight laying around so i did it on that...and it turned out perfectly how I wanted it with 1 coat. BUT, if you looked up close it was all blotchy like small dots scattered through out the headlight...So, i did it on the one that was on my car, and apparently, that was the one I bought off of eBay and so the previous owner covered this ****ty film up and then it had this huge "Iced" film circle on the middle of the headlight. After an hour of trying random things I finally got it to be clear (but still seeing the outline of that circle) I put it back on and said F*** it. I dont want to have a black outline of that damn circle on my headlight. So now im ordering headlight tint kit (with fogs to) smoked ones and then matching that with tail lights. Should I sand it down first to get rid of that blotching? Or was it just because it wasn't dried all the way?
