I recently purchased an '06 Monte in PA. I live in NJ. NJ requires a front license plate, PA does not. I just realized that the car doesn't have the mounting for it. Does anyone have one they don't need or know where to get one? If I have to I'll try a local Chevy dealer, although there isn't one even that close anymore...

 

what color is your car? i have a black one for sale.

 

I think he needs a place to mount his license plate, not a filler. You may have to drill holes and add in clips. Someone else on here my have had to do this though. Or you have a filler in there, that you need to remove.

i havent seen any brakets for the monty carlo thats an 06 and 07 that came with out a front licence plate braket. i have seen them actually made into the bumper but the braketry i am not sure where you can find them. i had to make a braket for mine i made it threw the corner of the bottom of the grill pissed the police off. because how low it was and got out of the ticket when i was in va.

 

Yeah, I need to mount the plate. There's no holes.

 

You can buy a mount at the dealer. Its not very expensive either. It is shaped to fit the front bumper.

First time thread from a new member here! YAY! I also have a 06 LTZ I just picked up from Ky., and I live in Ohio and have to mount a front plate too. BUT - my front bumper is sweet and there's no way Im drilling holes thru it. The car only has 17,000 miles and is in prestine condition. There's gotta be a better way to mount a plate without drilling holes right in the front!!! I'm about ready to custom fab something if I cant find something allready made.
