I grew up in the late 50's. So that look is what I remember about the Hot Rod's in my day. My buddys brother had a 50 Merc all like that. When this stuff 1st started to come back a few yrs ago. I said that looks like &^%$. I need some Chrome on my car's & Bikes. But again it came back to bite me in the ***! I'm starting to like it on some things! Not everything looks good that way. I seen a older caddy like that & it looked awesome. The picture here looks GOOD also. But it got to be done right to look good. I like the red rims on his car . That's my story and I'm stickin to it !

I think it looks pretty good, the wheels are a bit much for me but to each their own. I was thinking of Plasti Dip-ing my car matte white but haven't decided on it yet. I think it would look good with my black wheels/blacked badges/ and tint but I agree with Rick 2006 SS and that it doesn't always look good on all cars. passed a Honda the other day on highway with flat black and looked horrible, but I guess everybody has their own opinions.

If your new to plasti dip I'd practice spraying the white first. It is a very hard color to get good smooth coverage, I used it on my rims as a base coat for the blaze yellow and it was very difficult. I had 3 coats on and still had my original rim color showing through. As for black, very simple and easy to spray no problem.

i was originally going to do it my self, getting a new bumper in a few weeks and was going to "practice" on the old one to get a good flow and steady hand at it. but my one friend used to work the paint booth at our local Dodge dealer and he said he would be able to hook me up for a cheap price cause he has all the tools and such in his garage would just have to buy the paint. still not 100% on it tho.. i would love to see a matte white coupe car in person to see what it would possibly turn out to be
