Default engine cover opinion needed

alright MCF Members, I have started my engine cover painting project. Here are pictures of the first and second layer of paint.

I still am going to put 1-3 more coats on. BUT I NEED HELP!

I am not sure what color to paint the Stripes, 3800, Series II, and Supercharged lettering. Or any other Accent points.

I was probably going to buy those touch up pens so I can paint them by hand. Is that a good idea? Your opinion COUNTS!

Feel free to browse my Captain's Cruise Ship album if you need to color scheme of the car!

I think I would paint the stripes and the "Supercharged" in silver to match your ground effects and maybe red for the "3800 Series II" to match the red SS emblem on the car.

x2 Exactly what I was thinking. Pull the outside colors under the hood.

alright, so should I go at it with touch up pins, pin strip, painters tape and a rattle can job? I know that there are MANY different methods floating around on here...

For the stripes you could use regular automotive pinstripe tape, for me I took the easy way out an bought overlays from www.reflectiveconcepts.com

I would go ahead and paint whatever color you like MOST... but you could also purchase the vinyl tape kit from PFYC... they offer EVERY color for the stripes the "3800" and the "Supercharged" lettering. That's the route i'm gonna go, for now. It's only 30 dollars and when you get bored with the color, just purchse a new color kit.

PFYC gets the kits from Reflective Concepts. Matt at Relfective Concepts probably has a better selection. Don't know for sure but why deal with a middle man when you can go directly to the source?

Ok, Im sorry for dragging this on so long, but I want it to be as perfect as I can get it...

I have laid 4 coats of base on and I compared it to the car. Its a little lighter than the original color. Should I just go with it and throw on the clear coat? or should I go find a darker color and go with that?

Here are some pics.. u decide
