ok here's the 8 triangle shape on the hood i'm talking about. you find these same shape under the hood in your car too.

Amy my guess is he removed it for clearence when he was running the GEN III supercharger which now sits in his Dads GP.....taller than the gen II..tight fit in Monte's and the 97-03 prix

2 reasons why it's off. i had it off even before i have the intercooler cuz it traps a lot of heat that go for the supercharger cover too that's why never have mine on since day one. second reason is when the intercooler was install it raised up the blower about 2 inches higher and the hood liner definitely need to be off to close the hood.

edit* i have the gen 3 and my father have the gen 5. get it right son.
