Well if you look at a lot of louvers they all most never go to the bottom. There is almost always some glass showing. I left it up to the fabricator, they were very very difficult to fab as they were, all the bends and radius while still maintaining enough of a plane to still be able to view out the rear window. I had to pull teeth to get these made, called in a lot of favors, so I can understand when you say they are a pita to get fabbed, no one wanted to touch these. So I had to get in touch with more powerful people who knew people and kind of ask the favor for a friend thing. LOL, had to get on my knee's and pay the piper...

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I will take it as most people having a positive opinion for these. I thought they would be bad **** and wanted to create a truly never before seen Monte Carlo modification. I know a few members toyed with the concept and found the undertaking to be quite difficult to get off the ground. Yet I just felt they were worth persuing, to create a mod like this, the only one of it's kind in the whole world for a Monte Carlo. They are so sic imo... Really gives the Monte a whole new curb appeal.

I'm toying with the idea of having more fabricated, welded and made available for sale. Have a shop "Critical Laser" who can now that the prototype is completed, can measure, cut and also bend the metal for me. Then they would have to go to a separate welder for assembly. Would ship them unpainted. I need to have a meeting with both teams to see where the dust settles as far as final costs would go. I would need a dozen people and they should be expecting to spend somewhere about $1500, up or down a couple three hundred. But they would be truly unique to their area on their Monte.

You can also check with someone who does fiberglass to make a mold of yours and do some that way. Keep me posted.

No offense, but I don't care for them. Rear window louvers were popular in the mid to late 70s, but on your Monte it makes it look about 40 years older then it really is.
