That sucks! I just got my 03 bumper back from the paint shop last week to fix cracked paint caused by a major impact. Luckily for me my bumper didn't crack all the way through.

Ok this is the messed up part...

in my mind I've narrowed it down to where and when it happened... My uncle's cousin (who is 62) musta hit it while we where putting a sidewalk in, in the back yard.

If I can't "prove" who did it, will my insurance still make me pay my deductible? But I'm going to talk to my uncle and find his cousin and compare the mark on my car to her truck hitch.

if you can't prove it, then yes, you'd have to pay the deductible. if it's a family friend though, talk to him and hopefully he'll take care of it himself, or at least let his insurance deal with it so you don't have to get yours involved. let us know what happens!

If all else fails just get a new bumper, its cheaper than paying to have yours fixed.

Never really wanna go through your insurance to do things like that. It could cause your premiums to go up.

I'd try to look for a parts yard, and try to find some bumpers.

I don't know what your deductible is, but it may be cheaper to find a front bumper cover from a junkyard, and install it.

Anytime you get family involved in a situation like this, things can get sticky. Arguments, hurt feelings, and grudges for years. I'd becareful if I were you.

well to be clear, she's been kicked out by unlawful detainer(sp) and owes my uncle for about 6 months of rent. So I'm not to worried about hurt feelings.

I'd hate to have to replace the entire bumper. But I'll be damned if I'm going to pay for something, someone else did to my car.

I had several big cracks/splits in the plastic and a friend of mine roughed up the area around them and then glassed over them and it worked great.
