I don't think those are functional...

If you want a good looking and functional Ram Air hood, check out PFYC.com

i think that look better on the camaro than the monte, i want to do a custom cowl hood but have not find the right scoop for it yet. i want scoop that is wider than the original cowl hood and between 2"-4" high.

i'm gonna find any as of right now the only thing i can have it done is get the scoop and have a body shop mold into my original hood. i don't think they make many after market hood for the 6th gen....maybe 10 years from now there might be some for the the 6th gen, hahaa.

I know on the old 2k site almost every member wanted a cowl hood, but not just a raised square looking one, one that sloples down on either end to go with the body lines of the car...One company even said they would make it, I did many chops for them to get a rough idea but they never came through....I do know a few people made there own custom ones, but nothing that went into full production, good luck if you do a custom one, keep us updated!

I'm trying to learn the gel coat process so I can make my own hood out of fiberglass. I just need a place where I can build it. I'm also looking for designs that will look good on the 6 gen montys. A friend can get me a 6 gen hood so I can make a mold and once that's done, I think I can start the process. I'd like for it to be a functional hood for basically any type of build, for example: N/A, Turbo w/IC or without.
