here is my take on the ss badge, 1. 242hp 2.ss 303hp. 0 to 60 the 3.9 is 8 tenths behind the quarter mile about 9 tenths off. there are monte carlos out there that are badge ss from the factory with 200hp. And i found some were on another wed site that the 3.9 could have a top speed of 146 mph if not for that dam speed limiter.

Welcome.. Now for my opinion on the trying to clone a SS. Should have purchased a SS Monte Carlo. If I saw this saw in my neck of the woods It would be disrespectful, imo. These were low production cars, put a ls4 in it and it might sway me alittle..

Default Tribute SS

I agree, I could not find a 1965 SS impala, and had been given, yes given for helping to pull the engine and trans, a regular impala model! I had my original impala still but wanted an SS, so decided to make it one, but I always tell folks it is a clone! Still, it has everything an SS would have, except a posi rear, but that's cool, it turns lots of heads and sounds badass!

Wow, until I saw that, I didn't realize it was a decal. Looks cool. Also, I have to agree with the whole SS issue. Not a big fan of putting them on a non SS. I even avoided SS floor mats LOL.

That is extremely nice. I can see why you turn a lot of heads.
