Default Clear third brake/tail lights.

Since my '06 is white, I plan to eventually go with an all white/chrome scheme for it. White/chrome lipped wheels, the chrome projector headlights, chrome tails and third brake light. Have been looking on eBay and haven't been able to find any clear third brake lights, just the l.e.d. type. Does no one make one that just has a clear lense and uses a red bulb?

And for the tail lights, I have only seen the chrome and black housed l.e.d. ones also. Haven't seen any others. Are these also the only aftermarket type made?

I have had bad experiences with l.e.d. lights so I'm trying to avoid them. I'm sure some here have experiences with them. Are they bright enough?

Have been noticing prices for the projector headlights and tails are on the pricey side close to $300. I traded in a 2000 Neon for this car and got similar type lights for it at half the price. Are these more expensive because of them being newer, more popular or what?

They're more expensive because they're less popular. Same thing goes will all available mods for our cars. There isn't much out there, and what is out there is more expensive.

Nobody makes anything for our cars really. You've got to search long and hard to find something and when you do it's going to cost you a kidney and a liver to get your hands on it.

It's a shame because they're such great vehicles but it makes driving a modded one an even more unique experience.

An idea for you...if you know someone that does automotive painting or you can talk to as many shops that do it but you might be able to keep your red brake light red and just have them put a coat of "paint" over it so it would look like it is white or crome but still be red when you hit your brakes. (similar to tinting it) As for your brake lights...might also want to check and see if you could say get a small amount of white mixed in with say a clear coat or thinned down and have them sprayed like that so it would give it a whitish color but still be reflective and show red when you hit the brake lights. Anyways I hope this helps.

Well as far as the third brake goes, are the 6th and 7th gen lights the same thing? If so, I'd imagine they would work and yes, that is the one i was looking at.

Same for the tails. I'm not real big on them but lack of options kind of forces you.

i do believe that with that 3rd brake light there will be a black plastic ridge around them as you can kind of see in the picture, and the light will work on both 6th and 7th gen
