Car got keyed for no reason...fix?
That sucks about getting keyed. I'd try different kinds of more aggressive polishes - like the mirror glaze line that meguiars sells. I think you can get them at Pep Boys. I don't know how well they work without using them with DA buffer though.
seems to me like your girlfriend must have caught you cheating ha just kiddin but if u rub your fingernail down the body and you can feel the groove where the scratch is you will have to wet sand then compound the buff then polish to get it out. deff youtube about this theres a million videos on how to do it.
I can barely and I mean barely in some spots feel it when I rub my finger nail down through it which is good....I talked to a lot of people and ended up buying some Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 but I gotta wait for a cooler day to actually apply it since its been in the 90's here recently...
I will definitely let ya'll know how it works out and thanks for the advice, I didn't even know this stuff existed till I read some replies here

Remember to use a rather stiffer application pad, and clay the car in that section first.
Go over it a few times with the scratch-x then do another application of it. Then wax it, and wipe it off wet, then wax it and let it dry before a wipe.

i'd do compound inbetween the scratch-x and wax too
That's just silly. The point of the scratch-x is that it is a finer polish. The finer polish removes and smoothes out the imperfections of the stronger compound. You would just be going backwards if you compound after a polish.
best results will come from a body shop and 20 mins of thir time. key scratches are usually deepest at the start of them where they first press the key in and get shollower as the progress. dpending on the depth you may want to wetsand down the cutting edges and polish using a machine buffer or air. if you hit base coat , well nothingyou can do but touch it up so it doesnt rust
