I had a pint of competition yellow mixed up for my 2003 SS back prior to 2007. That was PPG's OMNI™ system basecoat.

I used the duplicolor bottle with a brush built in. It worked good but it takes a little practice to get it to look ok.

Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only person that has hit that side of the car. I was backing into a parking spot and didn't realize the light pole was actually IN the parking spot itself anddd long story short I feel/felt like an idiot. Your scratch looks almost the exact same as mine. I'm looking to either fix or replace mine so if any of these methods work out for you please let me know.

I'll admit I'm just getting into the whole working on cars/trucks thing and am in need of advice in every aspect.

That might be a job for Dr Colorchip. Dab it on, smear into the scratches, then rub off using their liquid. They match factory paint codes. Couldn't hurt to try in this situation

Yea I don't actually know WHAT hit it. I'm waiting for warmer weather and will post pics of the process. Probably going to use dupli color paint brush

I would ask a body shop to match your paint. shouldnt cost much and it will guarantee or should atleast match better than anything pre mixed
