I guess you take the gold part of your emblem off the silver back and stick this piece of powder coated aluminum in.

Sound like a good deal?

I don't like the idea of using overlays for some reason

will do....i am hoping to get them this friday so they should be here early next week

You could just save a bunch of money, and take your gold one off, paint it black, and reapply it.

i dont think my gold piece is gonna come off in one piece its really stuck on

Hair drier to warm and loosen the glue, fishing line or even dental floss to do the rest. Worth a shot.

dont take it off then, get a bunch of newpaper and cover virtually the whole car except for the bowtie, you really only have to cover the front end to save from overspray, then just paint black and then clearcoat... should take about an hour and save you the money
