I guess you take the gold part of your emblem off the silver back and stick this piece of powder coated aluminum in.

Sound like a good deal?

I don't like the idea of using overlays for some reason

You could just save a bunch of money, and take your gold one off, paint it black, and reapply it.

i dont think my gold piece is gonna come off in one piece its really stuck on

Hair drier to warm and loosen the glue, fishing line or even dental floss to do the rest. Worth a shot.

dont take it off then, get a bunch of newpaper and cover virtually the whole car except for the bowtie, you really only have to cover the front end to save from overspray, then just paint black and then clearcoat... should take about an hour and save you the money

got those bowties today....they look great imo

i tried the fishing line and it didnt go well so i ended up drilling them out

looks very nice, but that front plate looks kinda hideous, sucks you have to have 2 where you live..:(

now all you need is a cool 3rd brake light overlay!

i was thinkin if getting custom plates then i could get rid of the ugly blue/white iowa plate

ss overlays are next then i might think of a 3rd brake overlay...but idk what i would want it to say

They look real good, way better than the gold. Maybe you should get those blacked out tail and reverse lights.

Those are very nice looking. Something Mr. Burns needs desperately.

i really recommend them they are pretty easy to apply and look 1000xs better than the stock gold bowties....and i think they look better than overlays

Definitely better than overlays. I think I'll have mine painted this spring.

I winder if they got something just like that except silver (like the same silver that the SS badge is)

They make the ones I got that are inserts and they make black or silver that replace the whole emblem....when I get home I will post some links

yea i had the depo black headlights but ended up selling em to get my lady friend a christmas gift :rolleyes: not looking to sink too much money in it though as i plan on trading it in for an ss version in a year or two. but since the rear emblem popped out anyways and that one looks sweet might as well go for it!
