Question Adding lips and skirts

I have a stock 01 SS, and I've been searching for bodykits, and getting a bit frustrated.

I honestly just want to add lips

similar to this:

My bumpers currently look exactly like this: same color

Q:
1. Can I just add lips?

2. If so, how hard do you think it would be for a novice?

3. If not, what route would you suggest I go?

4. Price on such a project?

Thanks a bunch guys. =]

You can add em to ur existing bumpers its just a matter of drilling holes, cutting slots & riviting on clips & good luck finding a kit hard to come by used & rip off from gm

The pics you showed are for GM's high sport package ground fx. It's a different set of rocker ground fx, a front chin spoiler and rear bumper ground fx. Not sure if anyone has called them "lips".

The high sport package pieces from a junk yard are tough to come by and from what I understand, very costly when you do find'em.

You could try Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market and see if anyone has them and is willing to ship them.

There are a couple aftermarket ground fx/body kits. Razzi is one brand (you can find them on eBay).

Personally, I think the high sport ground fx look awesome (I wish I had them), but they are so subtle, unless you are into the 6th gen Montes, odds are no one would notice. I feel for the prices I've seen, not worth the cost OR effort. There are plenty of other awesome things you can do (like have your existing ground fx re-painted a different color, add exhaust tips).

Just do what i did and get an aftermarket kit like my razzi kit. Its not excessive and it is way more noticeable than the junk stock kit. Especially the rear and sides.

You don't NEED a body-kit on that car. You need to change the surfboard spoiler for the stand-up from a 2006/2007 Monte, you need better rims, and you need exhaust tips. That makes the back-end look better, not just a silly lip kit
