Default 6th Gen Lighting..

I was wondering if the back up lights on my 01 monte are the lights on each side of the lisence plate? Has anyone change there bulbs? I want to switch them over to super white lights. I took out both bulbs today and wiped the bulbs clean, i just dont know how to go about replace the bulbs because they dont pull out like most other bulbs..

yes they are.. once you have those off you just twist the piece on the back that holds the bulb. and then you can pull the bulb out and put your new ones in, they may need some force.. i had to use needle nose pliers to get one out

I changed mine to a superbright because I blacked out my reverse housings.

They are just a pain to replace because they seal pretty well

Excellent. They do seem like they are sealed very well. I know the bulbs in the rearview mirror were also a pain in the **** to pull out.

Another question.. How do i take out my lisense plate bulb? Is it the two nuts?

just the two screws, dont expect to put a led bulb in there tho, it wont fit in most cases, they're either too wide or too long and dont fit the housing

x2 on what trewyn said. i put a flat 4 smd led in mine and is atleast twice as bright as my stock lights. and mine are blue. anything around 4smd should work. mine is smaller then the OEM bulb
