Default 6th gen body question

on my 2000 ss stock. is the lower molding that people paint a second color removable? i know the side skirt one is. but are the pieces that attach to the front and rear bumper? i know the ls has a non painted part there that looks removable but mine doesnt seem to be like that. i was also woundering if i bought a high sport kit, if it fits over that or needs whole new bumpers all together?

You don't remove it to put the high sport kit on, you cut grooves into it all along it and then bolt it in the wheel wells.

I actually just bought a new bumper and will be attaching my front ground effect to it. All I need is to get it painted first and then attach the ground effect. I will be sure to take pix.

The ground effect comes off the bumper they are two separate pieces. The ground effects package is 4 pieces. 2 sides and 1 front 1 back. They can be painted separate than the bumper, hence the different color.

I think we are talking about two different things. I have the High Sport package on my car. It comes with ground effects that are not on the regular Monte SS. You are talking about the SS bumper without the High Sport ground effects. You were correct before about how people paint those. Tape them off and paint because they are one piece together. I might be wrong but I don't have a regular SS to check. Anyone else?
