Default 5th Gen Projectors -- Custom -- Lots of Pics

Finally what everyone has been wanting to do for a long time. A good solution to these crappy ebay headlights. Here's how I'm doing it.

So far I have one housing completed. I will be using 35 watt 6000k HIDs from ddmtuning in the projectors. Right now I'm thinking of putting some HID's in the high beams too and disabling the DRL. Then there will be two HID's per housing. I'm not for sure. Any suggestions would be great.

Everyone knows what the ebay lights look like.

The projector. Morimoto Mini.

Opened up and test fitted the projector inside.

Pictures of the shroud.

It had to be trimmed a bit to fit on the projector.

It attaches with a few screws from the back.

In the housing. Fits perfectly.

When the HID's came I installed them and put it on the car. I made some brackets for the projector to mount to. This not only supports the projector some but it also keeps the rotation alignment centered. I drilled the holes a little big on the brackets to give me some room to adjust before I tightened them down.

And a few of the pretty much complete projector

Pictures of the aiming.

I don't think I need to caption which one is which..

One COMPLETED headlight. All sealed up and ready for the car. Just got to work on the wiring and start on the other one.

Looks great!

Did you ever end up doing the other lens? And was it difficult to open up the housing itself? I would like to try to do this myself, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to properly position the projector itself the right way. Does that make sense?
