So I got 1 to many rock chips in my windshield and I am replacing it this week so I went ahead and called my Window tinter to do the top strip 5% again down to the ANSI line .
While talking to him about when he could do it I asked about tinting the whole windshield and we are going to do it at 35%
I know its illegal
but this car is NOT a daily driver any more just a show car now since I work from home now and for the last 3 years . And I have 3 other cars and a truck to drive.
I am Not worried about getting pulled over because 90% of the car is driving is in parades and out Cruise nights for a couple of hours maybe a maximum every other week 26 weeks a year. I am not worried about driving it at night because I have Hid's in the Monte and once again I don't daily drive it only a couple times a year.I am Not recommending doing this to anyone this is what I am doing for my Show car.
So I will post pics next week when its done before and after inside and out so you can see the difference. Just wanted to put it up here now to get it started .

That'll look pretty sweet I've seen a few cars around here with 20% windshield tint lol

 

I was thinking to do darker but I do also but my tint guy brought over tint this morning to laid over the windshield to get a idea what it would look like and 35 % is dark enough for me. I thing its going to look great on my white car the sides and back of the car look great with the darker windows so this should tie it all together

Ok heres what it may look like....

Check it out!
The front windsheild is tint at 90% (The lightest tint there is)
It also has an 8 inch Eye brow thats Limo.
The back 3 windows are tinted Limo.
and the driver passenger door are tinted 20%

If you plan even driveing to and from somewhere at night time...
Your gonna have a very difficult time seeing anything!
Trust me I know from first hand experience!

You cant see didley squat with the light tinit I have on my windsheild!
And this pic is in the direct sunlight!
Just imagine at dusk... or in the dark of night...
You may wanna reconsider!

35% may sound cool...for the front windsheild
But, I think your gonna be sorry in the long run...

So, you can see what 20% does for the tinted windsheild...
Thats what makes the front winsheild look so dark includeing the limo on all 3 rears.

A friend of mine has 18% on the sides and back and 50% on the windshield of his daily driver and he hasn't really complained too much about it being dark. He was initially going to go 35% but the tint guy talked him up to 50% and he's actually mentioned he wishes he went darker. I think it's more personal preference with this. One shop wouldn't even do tint on the windshield.

 

Can't wait to see this tinting. Your car is going to come across so badass at night with your lighted wheels and super dark tint alll the way around. Storm troopers assemble..

Trust me I am just as exited you all are and yes I will take pics I really need to make a new walk around video 2 so maybe next week I will do that 2 the tint I have on the doors and back glass is 20% and for the 2 small windows and the top of the windshield is 5% currently .
