I don't know how to post a picture because I can't post attachments. Under the trunk lid the paint code is written with a marker like a sharpie. The trunk and under the hood seems to be the same color just not glossy. The dealer in Ohio said only 15 were painted this color. I thought he was pulling my leg. Then I couldn't find another like it online.

Thanks for the information that you have. Did you purchase your Monte Carlo `NEW ? or used ? Can you still contact the dealer that told you that only 15 were painted orange & where they got that information ? or was it a Sparpie Special made/painted ? I'm not downing your Monte & looking forward to seeing pictures & reading all about it.

How many miles on your Monte ? What options ?
Look forward to your reply..Wish you good luck...EnJoy

I put some pictures up at

Pictures by putnamjf - Photobucket

I bought the car used in Nelsonville OH with 50K miles. The car was bought new at Lavery Automotive in Alliance, OH. It has leather, sunroof, power seats, and most available new options like onstar, xm radio etc. It has the 5.3 V8 with displacement on demand. I think the stripes could have been an add on, but the color looks factory to me. It is not mint, but very nice and sounds like a corvette at idle. I had a 2004 LS in Cappachino (gray). It had leather and was very nice but only a 3.4 V6. What a difference this V8 is.
