Default 2006 front end swap on 2005

A friend of mine has a 2005 monte carlo that was in a bad accident. The front end is completely trashed, I was hoping to swap the newer style 2006-07 front end on his 2005, my question is, how difficult would it be?

I'm assuming the attachment points are the same, it appears as though the only differences is the fenders, hood, and front bumper cover.

I don't see why it couldn't be done??

any thoughts??

I don't see the point in going back with the old style if it all needs to be replaced anyway, also as an additional bonus I'll get him the projector headlamps as well.

probably not but i'm pretty sure all the mounting locations are the same.

you will need a hood, fenders and bumper along with the headlights, I don't think I'm missing anything there, you should be good to swap out with those!

there is a 2000 model on ebay that has done this and given the price, I'm thinking it must not have been much more than just bolting on the parts... of course i could be wrong

The ebay one looks pretty good but you think people would be skeptical even though it says clear title, unless they were also a monte fan, of why you would do that unless it was wrecked.

Well yeah I'm figuring it was wrecked, but that doesn't mean it had to have a salvage title... Most people say clear title when there are no liens on vehicle... At least in my area. And yeah I tried to find it on Craigslist too

It shows the complete AutoCheck report right on that ebay page. It shows it was wrecked.
