Talking 2001 sport kit

I have seen people have cut slots and what not to place a better sport kit on monte carlos such as the 2001 in which the front and rear do not come off like the side skirts with clips. I can not seem to find that thread though and want to check it out again before i start slicing up my car!!

i don't know how to find where i've explained this, but i've done this on my 02 ss and it's alot of work (but i'm no body man)- and yes you have to cut the slots, if you have, for instance, the front lip, you can see how many you have to cut (if i remember right, like 12)- also you will need a TON of clips ($$$) for the sides because i broke almost all of them during removal. unless you can find some trick to them...it's as if they are made for one-time use

you will need to make a lot of cuts, but it's worth it

The front is easy its just slot holes, rear is a bit tricky the sides are slots but the rear has clips rivited on the rear bumper, i cheaped out & used a non high sport rear bumper on mine couldnt see spending $800 more for one especially sence i could do it, give me a day or 2 to find my old bumpers & ill post pics of the mounting areas

I haven't seen the post in a long time, but it's pretty straight forward don't you think?

Just line everything up and cut the holes.

Do you have highsport yet? If you start looking for the thread and the highsport kit, you'll probably find the thread in the next month or two and the highsport kit a long while after that lol
