im getting ready to tint my windows and both 5% and 20% are illegal but idc about that :p would a 5% tint be an overkill on my all black intimidator. the only reason i havent tinted them is because i love that fresh from factory look that my car has and i always have my windows down but damn southcarolina is too freaking hot. what do you guys think and feel free to post what percentage of tint u have.

 

5% is almost limo tint

It's gonna definitely be noticeable.

 

5% would look stellar, but 20% is better for visibility purposes and still looks great. It's what I have.

 

5% on the 3 rears and 20% on the large sides.

...or 5% on the rear and 20% on all the sides.

I think it depends if you cruise with people in the rear seats. If you don't the former is best looking.

I've tinted all my former cars. But like you, I haven't tinted this one because I like the clean stock look for this car.

With the black interior, you can't see into the car at night anyways and I have great night visibility.

 

I did 5% on the back 3, and 20% on the front two. Looks phenominal.

 

20 will be fine, i have 20 going around all my windows except the windshield. and i have a hard time sometimes seeing at night.

 

I found a guy who did 15% all around on mine. You might have trouble finding someone to give you any sort of illegally dark tint, or not make the front ones lighter tinted.

Anything darker than mine is begging for police harassment in FLA.

 

In afew cities around here 18% is begging for haressment. 20% is illegal here aswell but I still have it on my car. If I think I am getting followed by the cops I open my moon roof visor to let more light in. If I get pulled over roll down both the driver and passager windows. Usually that will keep you under the radar but you can still enjoy your car.

 

From experience, i say keep it legal.
Avoiding from getting pulled over and ticketed and have the tint removed.

For looks, 20% on large front sides, and back window.
and 5% on small side windows.
Will also help keep the interior cool in those "california heat waves"

 

By me 35% is illegal but more acceptable...and won't be harrassed to much, I don't know how it is by you but anything darker then that and you will get pulled over quite a bit...

I told me neighbor about this, and he had the same "Gung Ho" Additude of I Don't care...and got limo tint all around...2 weeks later they were off..I asked what happened, he said in 2 weeks he got pulled over twice...and got tickited both times...for each window...as you can imagine that gets very expensive...

Also be careful about inspection, I know in NJ they will not pass the car if it has illegal tint on...

Believe me I love dark tint but for me, it's just not worth the hassle...
