1000$ paint job
Those prices do seem fair. Usually figure around 500 for a large panel and 300 for a small if there is just minor body work that needs done first. If there is anything more than dents/dings and chips you will be paying more. When you say clear bra, what product were they planning on using?
Hey Milrly since I don't know your 1st name. There are cheaper ways around this. Don't laugh when I say Macco! They painted a friend of mines 70 Camaro. Just like I pointed out. And we were impressed to say the least. Not you could go there and talk to them & te painter. That part is free
And believe me they want your business. Maybe you can do just the parts that are getting you down
. Like maybe the hood or front bumper. But it won't hurt to try & find out. Metion that you belong to a car club. Sometimes that helps. Cause they might think they can have more business from you

Cause they might think they can have more business from youI have a Maaco right down the street, and I considered it. Only problem is, my whole car is in bad shape, imo. Worse yet, it's black, so anything done wrong is amplified. Also, I don't have covered parking, so nature will have its way with the paint soon after it's done.
My name is Ally, btw
Angie: Mine Monte cost me $ 850.00 to paint the hood and add clear stone gaurd. Remove and re paint re bumper cover. & buff out trunk lid. Looks like the labor rate was $ 50.00 an hr. Parts total $ 5.00 Labor total $ 620.00 Paint & materials $225.00. See what the labor rate is at any shop you go to.

Hi Ally.
. Red isn't much better
Rick
It has one dent fromhail and loads of chip marks from stones. The body shop wants $550 to repaint the hood, and $625 for a clear bra. Since I can't afford that much right now, I've put it off cuz it seems pointless to get the hood painted and then continue to use it as my daily driver. Should I paint the hood and hope for the best? Or wait till I have enough for the clear bra too? Do these prices seem fair to you?
The only 1000 dollar paint job I would ever get would be white because it looks the best and is easiest to shoot. For 1000 your not really getting too much but i guess there are a lot of paint guys maybe just lookign to make some money on the side too.. what does he do for a living??

I hate to cut the idea down, but if your looking for an amazing job.. then your goign to get more out of a maaco job for 1000
