Thumbs up 06/07 Ram Air Hood

MPD, Inc. has an aftermarket Ram Air Hood! Check out the link:
http://www.mpd-inc.net/mc.htm

Got this back in October for my SS and I absolutely love it! I get so many compliments, some don't even recognize that it's a monte carlo. You have to get either a cone filter or the CAI for it to fit and I definitely recommend the CAI. The sound and power increase is definitely worth it! If you're hesitant about it being fiberglass, don't be. The shop that painted and installed mine said they had no problem with the fit. They matched my color perfect (the extra cost red jewel tintcoat). Just make sure your shop does a good job painting, extra clear coat is a plus for durability.

I'll eventually get pics up but check out the site for now.

If you go with that hood, a good way to find a reputable shop is to ask if they work on Corvettes. If they do, they have a good experience with fiberglass and confident in their fiberglass work.

Thumbs up

I love the below Hood for a Performance Look & Function for
the 06-07 Monte Carlo.
I'm sure that the company will give a estimate cost of install from their customer base.
Whose going to get `one ? Let us know...`ok

IDK about the hood...I have mixed feelings. I like it, but I think I like the narrower hood scoop that the 00-05 Monte hoods have better. The above Monte does look pretty mean with it though...

...Hi Michael, I really like the Ram Air Affect...It's a real one : ) & should increase HP + I bet the sound of
the Forced Air induction is AweSome.
Especially on a V8 SS

MAMonte, I've never heard anybody say anything bad about MPD... did you have a bad experience?

I wonder if it would clear my STB.

Actually, yeah I did have a bad experience with them, However, I can honestly say that between Cold Air Inductions (the manufacture of the CAI) and MPD, Inc. They took care of the problem after the purchase...I actually just got an e-mail from MPD today...So I am not really complaining anymore. At least they took care of the problem. I will say that they do have great quality products!!!
