the car was a total loss, but has a clean title thanks to the original owner

i could of bought one for less than what it took to rebuild this one but wouldn't of had the fun or the experience that i gained by doing it

& the flames are a considerable amount more the complete set is around 3 grand ima have them painted on for a cleaner look unless i can get them cheaper
Plus you saved a limited edition car. Wow, I can't believe the flames cost 3 grand. I wonder how much the graphics on my Dale Jr car would cost to replace?. Anyway, very nice job. The car looks amazing.

The dealer wanted more to replace the original decals on my car then it cost to get full custom decals designed and installed. They wanted something like $1200 - maybe more now.

Sorry - don't mean to hijack. Point is, its nice to keep everything original, but that doesn't mean original can't be improved upon. And when you can get it improved upon for cheaper it makes the decision easier. Painted flames will look better and easier to maintain too. Nice work! I love restoration threads with pics

Does the car drive right? Does it pull one way or the other? Do the trunk, doors, and window fit and finish still come together right? I've done some body work on my Torino, but I would probably never undertake to do something like that!

I take it you may have done this to gain experience for going full time with your body shop, so the experience of having done it can outweigh the costs in a long run, it would give you a much better idea of just how good of a job you can do and your customers can see your work for themselves! The skills and time invested can give you a better idea of what to do for estimates so you don't lose money. In a long run, this car may be what makes you in the body shop business!! Thank you for sharing!

it drives great it dosnt pull at all let go of the wheel & it stays straight, everything fits great no major gaps anywhere, most of the damage was cosmetic damage not much structural damage except for the driverside front wheel being ripped off lol, which i think caused some tranny problems, & i rebuilt it mainly b/c it was the exact car i wanted just didnt think the parts would be so expensive lol but its helped me lean a few things
