03 molding removal

Default 03 molding removal

Can anyone help with instructions for the removal of the side molding on an 03 ss?thanks!

You can use a blow dryer to heat up the molding and use fishing line to remove it. Its only held on with double sided tape.

On the 6th gens there are also 2 holes you would have to fill on each one...

yea i was gunna say...someone should tell him that there are holes there! a buddy of mine found that out the hard way haha i tried to tell him but he didnt listen...

You 5th gens with your no holes, remove so it looks better without any hard work... :P

well i wanted to put a chrome molding in its place but maybe ill just set the chrome strip on top of the original?yes?no?

Or a 2005 since they got rid of the moldings on that year, as well as the trunk key hole :P

IMO I wouldn't put chrome, seems to make the cars look cheaper.
