anybody know how to get the nose emblem off of the 00-05 monte carlo? i know you need to take it off for the SLP grill and the tony stewart grill (which im pissed its a stick on) but how do you take it off? please help

hmm, well, i've heard some adhesive remover on it first then maybe use a body filler applicator to lift it up, be careful and just remove it very slowly! also a piece of string behind it and you just slowly move it under the emblem to remove? i'm sure more members will be able to offer their help tomorrow due to the fact it is so late! goodluck with it and be careful removing it, see ya

 

I use a product called Kleen-Strip's Aircraft Decal & Adhesive Remover and get a long piece of fishing line and slowly rock back and forth behind the emblem. It will probably break a few times hence the whole "Use a long piece* lol. Should work

 

very easy to make off. the badge is held by double side tape. take a thin flat head screw driver and wrap the head with paper tower or cloth so you won't scratch your paint. stick the screw driver under the badge and pry out.

 

Are you going to have to re-install it? Repainting the car? It doesn't hurt to give those methods a try. But if you're leaving it off, why worry about it.

I'm removing mine in the spring when I put my SLP grill on. I'm not going to worry about saving the knight's crest, simply because it's not looking so good anymore anyway. Weather damaged.

Im assuming you took your stock one off and then this one in its place . Any place to get a factory one?But i will check out the link and probably end up getting one there but any placefor a stocker.
