my 06 lt is my dd and honestly once its paid off im probably gonna trade it in, love monte carlos but i need a more family friendly car. on to the toys! heres my 89 vette show car/restoration project:

The Montes Been a daily driver since day 1....(Since I ordered it from the factory in 1997) Even though its a 1999 i received it in 1998!
164,000 miles later and its been in limbo since I have been fixing it up for the Monte Nationals. So, now I drive my 2004 Chevy Silverado Z-71..
and the Mrs is driveing the custom 2003 GMC Sierra!

 

The Monte Carlo is my toy. The car was my daily driver for the first seven months I owned it; stored winters now. I've only been putting around 5k miles (if that) on it per year for the past couple years. 61k miles when I bought it in 2010; currently at 85k miles (< nobody ever believes it has that many miles on it).



This is my daily driver: 2011 Cruze LTZ RS. 37k miles when I bought it Dec. 2012; Currently at 42k miles (believe the majority of that is highway miles).

 

The Monte is the DD since April 28, 2008 the day I picked it up from the dealership in South Carolina. Started with 24K on the clock and now shows 72890. Now that it's paid off I'm going to get a weekend toy next spring. I want to save enough in order to et something solid and of course cool, probably another Monte.

 

My Monte used to be a DD, but it's now a toy. I've started it a couple times this year, but that's it. Once I do a few repairs/mods it'll be ready to drive again.

 

kinda falls between toy and beater status. i love the car but don't drive it much anymore, mostly i drive my '00 ranger everywhere because it's more practical for what i do (hauling tools, lumber and going off road). the monte gets out on weekends when it's not too hot out (no a/c!) and also becomes the go-to backup car when one of the family's vehicles is out of service.

Daily driver from day 1. He's a little over 172,000 miles now. No plans of it going away.

 

Mine lived its first life as a DD and now after putting in a completely new drivetrain a couple of years back it is now my toy even with a 156,000+ miles on the paint and frame .I just love this car !!
