Are you ready for...
...spring/summer...?!
Baseball players are reporting to training camp. Spring Training is just around the bend. The Arizona Cactus and Florida Grapefruit Leagues are about to start. And ... spring is in the air.
Well, maybe not yet. But...hope springs eternal.... Time to share five "truths...learned the hard way" from _The Cubs Fan's Little Book Of Wisdom_ by Jim Langford....
And, for good measure, a "winter sport" quote from the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team win in Lake Placid:
So ... while the soon-to-be-here spring reminds me that I haven't completed much of what I wanted to this winter (anyone else in the same boat?) ... who else is looking forward to spring/summer sports (i.e. baseball, softball, etc.) and events (i.e. car shows, friends/family gatherings, etc.)?

We CAN"T wait for spring!
I'm thankful that the days are getting longer.
I'm thankful that it is raining today, and not snowing.
I'm thankful that the rain has removed HALF of the snow we had, only 6" left.
I'm thankful that I didn't fall on my a__ as I got out of the car at Church this morning, as I was then standing on SUPER slippery ice.
I'm thankful that I am over the crud.
I'm thankful that I am healthy and have a solid job.
I'm thankful for my loving wife, LadyT.
I'm thankful that the Daytona 500 is on today, and that is the beginning of the NASCAR season.
I'm thankful that spring is ALMOST here!
I'm thankful for my MCF family.

I believe we all have many things to be thankful for.
We all woke up this morning.
We all have food to eat. (what do spacemen snack on during the day anyways? People brains?)
We all have cool cars that get respect out on the streets.
We all have friends we can talk with every day. (Our MCFs family)

I just need the snow and ice to be gone. I'll be very thankful for that.
That there's longer periods of daylight happening each day, now, is another "I'm thankful for."
I'm thankful for today.
Looking forward to tomorrow.
