Yahoo News: Vegas man paints car like police cruiser
I think it is pretty cool as long as he doesn't abuse it.
Pretty good way to get through rush hour trafficLOL. Just ride up on peoples *** and they'll move over.
Thats what cops do around here when lights are not on. They just come up on your *** and ride it till you move. Also crown vic owners do it too trying to get you to think they are an unmarked car.

Jessie Vigil's vehicle is seen at his home in Las Vegas, N.M. in March 2007. Vigil's black-and-white car sports a red-and-blue emergency bar across the top and the word 'police' painted on the doors. Law enforcement agencies say what he's done with his car isn't illegal as long as he doesn't act like a police officer.
I think maybe it should be illegal...I know I would pull over`if he had his lights on behind me. Would You ?

That's not legal here. I've known people who have gotten in trouble with just having a bar of spotlights across the top of their truck, and I know that the lettering of 'Police' would get me in trouble. Hell, I get in trouble for shining purple lights on the ground and this guy gets away with red and blue on top?

WE have a guy here with a Rosco Coltrane Hazzard County cop car who comes to our shows.. he dresses as Rosco and wears the hat too..... But I guess most people know a 1977 Dodge Coronet isn't a real cop car.. and he got blue lights and all on it...
My brother has a '93 Caprice 9C1 ex-Oregon State unmarked police car and he's actually putting in all the police stuff back on it. He's got the partician ("cage"), Code-3 push bumper, lap top holder, the 9C1 black steel wheels, and the amber arrow stick in the back window. He even put in a siren and the "wig-wags." As long as he doesn't use the siren or wig-wags in public (unless at a car show or on private property like a race track or the house) its not illegal. You can see his car in the following video at time 7:12. This video was taken by some random guy that went to this local car show that my brother and I attended with my car club.

We have a guy who's hooked on Andy Griffith. He owns 2 - 3 cars dressed as Mayberry cop cars. There used to be a festival in Bradford, OH for this that they had Don Knotts, Jim Nabors, George Lindsay, and even some of the Duke's characters have attended.
Anyone's who ever been to Bradford, OH knows it's no large then a good sized zit but was once a large train intersection withit's ownround table.
