Free preview? I saw some emails about it but assumed it was only for a higher premium level.

I received a letter/postcard from my insurance company (statefarm) stating I can get it free for 12 months, but I would have to sign up for and get charged a phone usage charge? Not sure if my situation pertains to yours though!

Rummaged around in the email trash and found it - the preview I mentioned is to upgrade to XM Premier.

We're taking your SiriusXM subscription to the MAX! Now through September 12, hear every premium channel available on your radio with the XM Premier package. Tune in to Howard Stern, every NFL game, every NASCAR® race, Martha Stewart and more. It's all yours for two weeks! Click here to learn more.

The XM Premier package doesn't have to end when the free preview is over. Upgrade your subscription today to get the XM Premier package PLUS SiriusXM Internet Radio in the XM All Access plan and save over $40 a year* vs. purchasing monthly. It's the most channels in the most places and a great value.

I just recently canceled the XM, but still get emails it seems. I've heard horror stories from people trying to cancel. I'm darned near afraid to turn the thing on for fear of them finding out and giving me a "gotcha!" and assuming I want to re-sub.

Chris's offer sounds off. I'd toss that away too. Nothing's free when you shell out $$ for something else.

My feeling on xm radio are WHY ? Why should I pay for something I get for free ? I heard people say it's great no commercials ! I listen to all of them. That's how i find out what's going on around town. Car shows, Traffic info, weather alerts, things like that. Can see paying for something that's free ! Maybe it's old age Who knows ?

Around my parents' area I can't stand XM radio. Instead of getting that slight static but you can still hear the music, it just cuts out and says no signal.

Constantly I go over a bump, or a turn, and lose all radio in the car. It's very annoying.

(This is all in my sister's Impala when I drive it, I do not have XM)

I have to admit I'm kinda jealous here. Montes sold in Canada have the XM programmed right out of the radio. No "no signal", no static, no nothing. My radio just cycles through AM-FM1-FM2 then back to AM. The CD/AUX button only works the CD and nothing else. Which seems kind of pointless to have the "AUX" on the button, since there is no AUX.

Chris, don't go for that offer. Sounds too good to be true.

There's an Aux, you just have to plug something into the Aux port first :p

Hey if there was an AUX port, I'd be using it to plug in my ipod. I hate how the 6th gens didn't get an MP3 input.
