Wow what a mad world...
Hmm it seems like Mother Earth is going a lil crazy or being a little bit moody lately. I've been watching the news more often since I've kinda gotten away from it for the past few months & it seems like some of the strangest things have happened so far this year. Here are the two that have catch my attention:
Birds falling from the sky? Fish going belly up? The magnetic pole shifting?
&& now this? It's not as extreme but still kinda weird
Snow now in 49 states
Anyone else think all of this is kinda bizarre or is it just me???
Birds falling from the sky? Fish going belly up? The magnetic pole shifting?
Weird things are happening! It started with thousands of birds falling to earth in Arkansas on New Year’s Day. Add to that the fish that were going belly up in a nearby Arkansas town as well as in Brazil and New Zealand just a few days later. Then birds started falling in Louisiana, Kentucky, Italy and Sweden while scores of dead crabs started washing up on the shores of Great Britain. Is it an “Aflockalypse?” And what will happen next?
Snow now in 49 states
The only state that isn't at least partially a winter wonderland today is Florida, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The agency estimates that 70.9 percent of the country is currently covered by snow

A couple years ago, about 100 saegulls suddenly died here in Windsor, Ontario.
Home Depot moved out of their original Windsor store to a new location, leaving the old building vacant except for a massive flock of seagulls. The seagulls numbered in the hundreds. After about 100 suddenly died, and another 50 were very sick, an investigation was done. Many people suspected a nearby auto dealership of poisoning the birds. But the final results of testing showed that the flock had out-grown the food supply. Starvation set in. All of the birds showed signs of severe lack of nutrition. The birds had died of starvation. Officials said that this is not an uncommon thing.
I suspect this may be one explanation for the massive amount of dying birds in Arkansas. It starts with mal-nourished flocks. Then when sudden extreme temperatures move in, the birds aren't healthy enough to weather the storm (so-to-speak). The stress of the sudden weather change kills the birds.
That's the explanation I was told.
