Default The world.

What's the world coming to, lets be honest. Gas keeps going up because of greedy people, food is going up, and the world seems to be on the brink of the end. Does anyone else feel like this? I mean, it seems like we have takin 10 steps back since the early 90s. I feel like the world is going to become **** in the next few years. Riots, fights, major theft, I feel ike the US is going to come to that. I was wondering if anyone else feels like this. Will gas ever come down? Will the the economy ever be balanced, or even livable for people. What's going on??? Am I over reacting, being a pansy?

Don't be so hard on yourself. This is not the first time anyone has felt this way.

Did you know during WWII people cancelled their life insurance? They believed the world was coming to an end and Jesus would be back soon so why did they need life insurance in a world that was ending? It wasn't a few people either. I believe it was millions.

Don't let life get to you. No matter how bad things get, it will work out.

Those of us who live in the US need to wake up before it's too late though. We've given our country away and pride in the very land we live in is low. But again it will work out. Having leaders who actually care about us as people would help. Not those just interested in themselves and what they can take from us. George W, and many running for his office are in this boat. They only want the office so they can further their own, personal interests along making themselves weathier and more powerful.

But don't count US out just yet.

You know what the worst part of it is? The lazy people are getting their checks...welfare....taking advantage of it. I am all about helping people though hard times, but my God I know of people who WON'T WORK in fear of losing their welfare check, so for those of us with families and who work their butts off and don't get anywhere, it's like what the heck??? I make $8.73/hr working where I do and I live check by check because all of our money goes to bills and gas. I remember when I was a kid and my mom made $10/hr and we thought we were rich!!! Nowadays, you can't live unless you make $40k+.

Hi `Anthony, & Member's,I feel the pains everytime I read, or hear the news in our World.USA has overcome many problems, but I believewe need better leadership in our country. We need leaders that are competent, and honest. We need leaders that haven't sold their souls to special interest.[:-]

I believe each state should have Workfare like Colorado,
or like I've read in American History.
Start up Federal Programs like the Three C's CCC or
the WPA Programs.
I think `if we can't be leaders, that we must get involved
to select the `best person(s) to lead us in the USA/Canada.
Workfare Overview
[ul][*]Colorado Workfare is a mandatory activity in which food stamp applicants/recipients perform public service work at either public or private non-profit sites in exchange for food stamps.[/ul]

I think alot of the problems our country is facing is due to poor leadership and a bad influence of too many people who don`t have a good education. Failure to strive to learn of issues facing our daily lives and how to improve the way we live. Someone once said something like " if we fail to learn from the past then history will repeat itself". I believe we are going to see something in the near future that will truly amaze all of us.

Someone PLEASE explain to me how illegals are entitled to welfare and other benefits when they pay ZERO in taxes?

People like my g/f's parents and even mine work all their freakin' lives to get what they have and our own government taxes them so much they can barely live. Is THIS what they worked 55 years to get out of life?

My father has worked steady (meaning up to when he retired) since he was 13 years old. When he was forced to retire from Mopar he found another manufacturing job. When that turned sour for him he read meters for Dayton Power & Light till my oldest sister was diagnosed with cancer. After she receieved a bone marrow transplant my dad found another 8-5:30 job selling lumber at a lumber yard.

I know my g/f's dad worked pretty much the same. Her mom opened their house to baby setting for alomost 45 years. She raised almost every kid in the small town they live in.

Now they get any socal security benefits they have taxed so the point they can't afford the medications they need in later years.

Yet every stinking night the local ER is full of welfare people who get their treatment & meds for free

HOW IS THIS FAIR?
