Woodward Dream Cruise : )

RE: Woodward Dream Cruise : )
Never attended the WWDC but I always say I am one day.
It wouldn't be too hard of a task. If we couldn't find accomodations Deb's parents only life like 45 min from Detroit. We could stay with them.
(note: no pool, no TV, and no cool cars setting in the parking lot. it would be more or less free though)
Maybe the people attending the Dream Cuise would like to see a 2003 Monte Carlo Pace car cruising the boulevard?

Why not take the pace car? From the local Detroit television coverage that I've seen of the dream cruise, part of the congestion on Woodward is from people driving their bone stock, normal everyday, newer model cars and SUVs. Cars and SUVs that you see dozons of, driving on any street, everyday of the year. Not getting on their case, but I think having your rare 03 Pace Car would be a better fit than the brand new Honda Civic's.

Thanks for the support Taz.
Did you happen to see the two pics I posted of the local cruise-in we attended not two weeks ago? I was setting by the cars and I overheard some guy say, "Why did they bring THOSE here?"
I assumed he ment THOSE new-er Monte Carlos I was setting behind.
Not that I care what this bozo thinks or feels. It's a free country afterall. And our Montes fit in this cruise-in just as mush as the brand new supercharged Cobalt or the ricers that attended did.
I hear comments like this at times from the general populationabout whatever one of my '57 Chevies I've driven.
It just proves you can please some people some times, but you can't please THESE people any of the time.

I posted a pic of the Michigan Kappa Club running 2 x 2 down Woodward, 36 of them. I think it would be kewl to do the same thing with Montes, such as with the MMG group. We had over 20 at a Saturday meet, why not do the same thing with Montes? I'd bring 2 cars then. We could drive the Intimidator SS and the Solstice GXP. Especially if we could get cars grouped together, like pace cars, signature cars, classics, drag cars. Maybe by year. New ones out 1st, and down the line. Just a thought. Thursday nights are a little tough, but if it's planned ahead enough, it can work.

Ive posted a thread on 4 Monte Carlo forums now,the NMCOA, My Monte. Monte Millenium Generations, and of course, the Monte Carlo Forum, (this thread). Im trying to put together a large group of Monte Carlos for the 2009 Woodward Dream Cruise on that Thursday evening.
I THINK WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Anyone else game for this?
Time for a new thread!
