Default Windows 8

So for those who are interested i found a video showing a preview of windows 8. Looks almost the same as a windows powered cell phone which i'm not fond of the looks. Not a fan of a computer becoming mainly touch based, but thats my opinion.

How Windows 8 Could Change Your Life

I dont like it. It looks too unorganized for me. I think the current format for windows is perfect. Its getting it all to work correctly without problems they should focus on instead of changing it completely every couple years.

sounds like (to me) it will be marketed for the touch screen and tablet markets. Looks like there will be even more security volunerbilities (cant spell) then windows 7. Which might i add most companies still wont upgrade too. lots off places still sit with xp due to it being alot more secure, and compatable with third party software and servers, etc.

agreed, seems way to focused on the touch screen market. Which really isn't practical everywhere. And mike i agree, they should reform and fine tune windows 7 some more, leave it as traditional os. I dont want a touch screen bashed computer. Just doesn't seem practical

windows 8 is in the developer preview stages, anyone can get it right now.

I don't like it, it's designed for tablets and mobile devices, and the fact the the home screen takes you to the desktop and then opens the program is just annoying.

I'll be keeping Windows 7 64-bit on my new computer next year.

I'm getting sick of the new Windows version being more of a Service Pack with a slightly update GUI. If I can get my games to run on Linux, I'll be getting rid of Windows on all my computers.

I just got one with 7 on it. lol I usually use my computers long enough to skip at least one generation of operating systems, though.

I tink my next computer will be a Mac. All my previous computers have been PCs with Microsoft os and they just get so slow and dis functional in a relatively short period of time. The apple is twice the price but I hope better quality.

I want to hijack this thread and bash the hell out of apples crap but i cant bring myself to do it.

And im not bashing you for wanting a mac. i just cant stand them.......

Just relize all apples pc's are good for is media and internet browsing.
-with windows you can do anything.

And its easier to learn how to keep windows running good without spending money on another pc.

Not true, Apple FOCUSES on media and internet browsing... Then again what OS doesn't anymore? Apple has a great UI as to where I've been using Windows my whole life. I use Windows 7 right now but I constantly am having to clean it out and update it almost everyday, it gets old. Not only that but viruses don't like Apples. Apple has done a great job keeping viruses out of their computers. IMO Apple is priced right and they are great computers, and if I ever had the money I'd trash my Windows 7 in a second and upgrade. Microsoft is only good for the Xbox 360 and Microsoft Sync, and the Zune. Other than that I could careless for it. BTW Windows 8 sucks!
