i just wanted to rant about how i havent got to wash my car for so long. i bought my monte right before winter so i havent got a chance to truly enjoy it in warm weather with the sunroof up and everything. i cant wait! but it snowed again lastnight- bummer. it needs vacuumed out really bad too and i have no garage. anyone else suffering through the winter?

 

yeah i hear and feel your pain. Mine is sitting all alone on a cold dock in jersy, instead of beign ehr ewith me in the cold of San Antonio TX.
but hey i will think of ya when the blizzard comes threw here again LOL
ya dont need a grage to vacume it out or to wash it jus tneed to be faster at doing it and make sure ya dry out the door jambs and the locks. if you do it at a gas station that has one of the free air deals most ot the time you can pull thier air chuck off of it and use your own air blower on it to get extra water out of it

 

i'm suffering aswell. after that nasty storm that dumped on us this weekend in minnesota. total of 14 inches i believe. my poor monte!i desperatly need to get some carpet cleaner and get that mud and crap out of there, thinking about using a clay bar. it seems to be good. who uses clay bars here? are they worth it? any other suggestions for getting my car squeaky clean?

CLAY BARS are man and cars best frend!!
yes i use it on my car at least three times a summer here i will use it more offten as it actually has a mild climate in the winter.
But yes they are well worth the money they get the surface of your car CLEAN! and also make it slick so things dont stick to it as much

Why? Global warming.

I used to wash both of our 4th gen Montes outside in the cold. By hand. (and boy did my hands freeze)

I would use a bucket of warm water to help keep my hands warmer and sponge the water on. Then I'd take a wet rag like a hand towel and continue to wipe. Once I got the car pretty clean I'd take a somewhat damp rag and finish wiping.

I could makeour car(s) pretty clean this way.
