No kidding.... So does that mean we can go into Chrysler right now, grab the keys to a car and drive away... Tell 'em, I've already paid for this through my tax money... "Thank Obama for "saving" you!"

Unfortunately I'm in the same boat with you. I don't want to buy a vehicle fitted with GPS tracking and speed monitoring so our pinko commie friends in the white house can send me a speeding ticket whenever I break 55. And let's not forget with the ludicrous MPG standards they are proposing, the car will only weigh 57 pounds and be made of tag board, so when someone hits me or vice versa I'm a pancake

The new MPG standards are ridiculous. Sure you can make cars that will make the new MPG standards. But they'll all be 4 cylinder piles of crap. Bye-bye to all the 6 and 8 cylinder engines. Good luck trying to pull a trailer or haul any kind of load.

Honestly... Look at the amount of power we are making with engines now, and they're MPGs... I really don't see a problem with car companies still making the HP while keeping the MPGs.
If it MUST be done, it will get done. I don't think we'll be sacrificing.

That may very well be true, but still doesn't change the fact that I do not trust this administration one bit. I'm absolutely appalled with the way it's turned out thus far. Nothing that was promised is being or has been done, and in fact, the economy is plummeting at ghastly rate. I implore you, go to the library or bookstore or wherever and read The Communist Manifesto by Marx, and then tell me that's not where we are headed. And it still won't change the fact that if the government owns GM I will never buy another one because I don't want to be tracked by GPS, my speed monitored, my driving habits recorded, my favorite restaurants noted...etc.
