Default Who watched the USA Top Gear?

Who watched it and what were your thoughts about it? I have my own thoughts but I would like to see what others thought before I shared.

I missed it. Those guys are great. They have some pretty strong / varied opinions, and I don't always agree with them, but they are entertaining. How do I get a job like THAT?

For me, I was excited and sceptical about the new show. I really like the British version (watch the first episode of this seasons UK Top Gear). But when I watched the US version I kept thinking that the challenges were cool, but they would have been better with Jeremy Clarkson.

I didn't realize it was a completely different show w/ different hosts. I thought the Brits were coming to the US to shoot. Bummer... I'll have to try to find a rerun or online version to check it out.

I watched it, have a series recording set up so I don't miss any. It was entertaining, I've heard stories that after about 3 or 4 episodes everyone starts to feel more comfortable with each other and the show gets much better

I am a huge fan of the British version, and so I was guardedly optimistic about this one.

I think the production quality is spot on, and I like that they kept the same theme song.

The transitions between segments weren't done particularly well, and I fell like there were too many times when glamor shots were on the screen with no narration, and when narration came, it felt forced and un-natural.

the challenge was a good one, and the lambo shoot out was quite good. There does seem to be a bit of chemistry between the three but I really dislike Ferrara, he just annoys me. His interview was especially terrible.

The Stig was nice to see, though I think he could have had a better introduction.

Overall, it needs a Clarkson to make it the second best motoring show, in the world.

The UK Top Gear guys were aksed to do a U.S. version years ago but they said it would require too much time filming, Clarkson doesn't particularly like coming to the U.S., and it would be a lot of time away from their families and they didn't want to take away from the uniqueness of hteir own show with themsleves, but didn't mind the idea of some other set of hosts doing a U.S. version.

I liked the show... it exceeded my expectations. I think the U.K. version needs to adapt the little map showing you were the car is on the track... that was a nice touch as it is always hard to memorize the layout of a road course, so showing us the layout while the car runs through it is just spectacular.

Great attempt guys... lets see how they do over a long run.
