Anyone watch Top Gear US?

(I do NOT want this thread to become a UK vs US debate )

They did an episode on modern muscle last night. They had a manual 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8, manual 2012 Mustang GT, and an automatic 2011 Camaro SS . (they claimed it was a 2012)

The whole time they were basically just talking down on the Camaro. It annoyed me soooo much. I understand that this show is about the entertainment factor, but to just lie and use an inferior model of a car??

They could have AT LEAST used a 2012 with the LS3.

 

Hence why I don't watch this show. The Camaro SS Auto is like 25hp less than the manual cause of displacement on demand - totally unfair matchup if you ask me.

 

I watch it! and i STILL smoked both in the drag race and almost won the time attack thing when they were getting shocked haha
I love the show, its entertainment cant expect much out of it.
I still like it, definetly funny

Yeah, it runs the L99 instead of the LS3.

Also, giving the Challenger the CREAM OF THE CROP model. They should have been using the R/T.

 

agreed they should of did the r/t challenger, but then it would have lost everything badly! too heavy/not enough power compared to the other 2

 

But the R/T is on par with the SS and the GT. Once you start adding 10-15k to a price, then you are looking at the better Camaros and better Mustangs as well.

 

Ya if they raced the Boss 302 it would have blown everything away.

but as an entertainment standpoint they had to dot he srt8 to make it 'fair'. no matter how unfair it was
