Who was the best James Bond?
Alright, I am a James Bond fan incase you guys couldn't tell, and I was wandering who all of you believed to be the best James Bond. I made the poll so you could select more than 1, senseI know it can be a hard choice
Sean Connery (Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds are Forever, Never Say Never Again)
George Lazenby (On Her Majestys Secret Service) < not many people remember this guy, but he did do 1 pretty good Bond film before Sean Connery stepped back in 1 last time for Diamonds are Forever)
Roger Moore (Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to a Kill)
Timothy Dalton (The Living Daylights, License to Kill)
Pierce Brosnan (Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is not Enough, Die Another Day)
Daniel Craig (Casino Royale, Bond 22, Bond 23 (both unnamed))
Duane Black (see my thread a few pages back about this, called "Me, the next James Bond?)
David Niven (Casino Royale, 1967? version, a comedic spoof of the James Bond series, pretty descent 60's humor)

Timothy Dalton (The Living Daylights, License to Kill)

RE: Who was the best James Bond?
I thought Timothy Dalton did a pretty good job, people who have read the books tell me that Timothy Dalton actually portrayed the TRUE character, the Bond that Fleming wrote in teh books. I thought his run was shortbut sweet. Brosnan came in strong with Goldeneye (definitly the best of his 4), went downhill a little in Tomorrow Never Dies, but its hard to improve on Goldeneye, and he really did a good job, if not almost beating hs performance in Goldeneye, in The World is Not Enough. However, Die Another Day saw his downfall, but it wasn't his fault. Lackluster villans, and Bond girls that were worse just crashed the movie. Brosnans performance was good, but it wasn't his fault the movie was crap. Rumor is he was fired because he didn't like the script (hey, neither did I). Daniel Craig has come in strong, and I certainly hope he keeps it up. The next movie is to be a true sequel, not like the rest of the movies that just start a new mission. Bond 22 is supposed to pick up where Casino Royale leaves off, and see Bond on a quest for revenge. I hope EON Productions isn't making a mistake... usually true sequels aren't that great. Sean Connery came in strong, and stayed strong. Roger Moore came in kind of "eh", althoguh I thought Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun were good. The Spy Who Loved Me was good, but Moonraker was just crap, they were trying to cash in on the space craze, which worked at the time, but failed as far as longevity goes. If you want to see a space movie, watch Star Wars. For Your Eyes Only and Octopusy were pretty darned good, althoughMoore was showing his age by Octopussy. He was REALLY showing his age by A View to A Kill. Then there was Dalton, Brosnana, and Craig who I ahve alreayd mentioned.... and then perhaps my run could be a descent one (hey, I did get one vote as of the of this post !!!! Thank you whoever voted for me (I promise it won't me)

RE: Who was the best James Bond?
he was great in The Spy Who Loved Me, but they ruined the character in moonraker. he came back as comic relief, and even ended up siding with Bond. what the heck?
