Where unsold new cars go to die, Pictures
This thought had crossed my mind before as I drive into Salt Lake City and see car dealership after car dealership and even more new ones being built. Who in the heck is buying all of these new cars. I mean if we have all these dealerships think of all the dealerships in every other large city and even small all across the U.S., and even bigger the whole planet. Guess the big question is why do we need a new car produced every single year. Sure it keeps the parts producers busy, auto workers busy but at what cost? They say the manufacturers write the cars off as a loss full retail and then use these as tax deductions. Thereby using the taxpayers to bail them out in the 10's of millions from losses just so no one closes their doors. WOW, you have to be rich to think like that. Why could they not sell someone looking for a nice new car one of these for say a 60% loss and with no warranty. I would like to buy a $40,000 truck for $16,000 and take my chances with it. Better than crushing, but then they would lose their full retail write off value. Its all about the dollar at the end of the day. Screw helping out the have nots.
It has become apparent not all will new vehicles get sold, so they are moved off to non-used airbases, parked as tight as sardines on the runways and any other large area they can acquire access to.
The shocking thing too is most will end up being crushed as a brand new vehicle. Seems as over time the tires go flat, fuel goes bad, batteries die, the oil drips off the internal engine components leaving them vulnerable to attacks by rust and then the whole engine needs a rebuild.
They do mention many parts are removed from the cars for re-purposing before they get crushed. But wow, what a 1st world problem to have, to many new unsold cars, well then lets just destroy them, simple as that. It is just sickening to see all that wasted effort and material. Some parts gets used again sure, other stuff goes into landfills too.

Is there any hope for America? Are we doomed to let greed be our demise?
I sure hope not. All we can do is raise our kids up right and hope that what we teach them sinks in.
GOD BLESS AMERICA. We sure do need it Lord.
There's so many things that are Wrong in our World

There's so many things that are wrong in the USA
Above is just one of them.
How could this happen ?
Why does this happen ?
Whose in control ?
Who makes these stupid decisions ?
We must all get involved in our communities, states,
government `if we want positive changes.
What are you doing to make it better ?
(I ask myself ?)
I make post like above

& I `Vote, but
I admit, I should `be doing more, but they keep
me so busy trying to just survive I don't have the time (?)
or do I ? I must contemplate

If the government would use their heads for something other than a hat rack, they could decrease the number of people using the welfare system by offering incentives to go to school, get a college degree and keep a job for one year..THEN you get one of these LEFT OVERS!!!
