Question Where Should i put my fog lights

After driving back to school from the pats game last night in the snow. well my dad is buying me round blue tinted fogs as i asked now im thinking about where to place them and what to wire them to. I like the idea of placing them where the emblem was and wiring them to the side markers. or in the lower air intake. opinions? and does anyone know how to remove the chrome mustache on the hood I messed it up with clearcoat.

I don't have any advice as far as mounting the lights goes, but you'll never get them to work wiring them through the sidemarker lamps. The lights need a circuit made of larger gauge wire (like 12 gauge) that's wired through a relay because of the amperage requirement to operate them. Most lights come with a switch kit, but if yours don't buy one or have someone experienced with installation of lighting assist you.

When I had fogs I mounted them the same place as Keane's.

Also like Mike said, you'll need a relay wired in with a switch. You can use your side lamps to trigger the relay so they come on whenever the side lamps are on, or if you want a little more freedom as to when the come on and off I'd wire the relay up to a switch and pull a signal from some accessory wire.

We should be able to help you wire up a relay if you need help

Wire them up to a separate rock switch, you'll like the ability to have them on when the lows aren't on and vise versa.

You should jump the car from the battery itself, anything else and you risk melting wiring.

I would do it directly from the battery itself honestly. If that's not possible run it off the fuse box, but make sure you put in an inline fuse. You could also run it from the AUX fuse in the door fuse panels if needed, but you'd still have to run the wires to the fog lights.
